One of the easiest way to get into the make money online business is with google adsense. There are a lot of other online money making business out there. But, for a start, to get into it, adsense is a good place to start and by the time you get your business going you'll have the knowledge of the other type of business.

-If you have a website, you go in your adsense account and choose adsense setup tab on top. There you will see different type of units you can add to your website. Let say you want to ad an adsense for content type of unit, then you select it and then you get to a menu asking you how you want your ad to look like.
Over the years it turned out that the type of ads that pay the most are 'large rectangle', but this is not 100% acurate, it really depends on how your site look like and try to choose colors that match your website so the ad unit doesn't look like an ad.
So with all this done, simply copy/paste the code that is generated by adsense into your webpage where you want it to appear and there you go...

-If you are blogging, you will need first to grant access to blogger.com to your google adsense account, don't worry about this, they dont have access to nothing accept fetching the code for you want you add up ads on your blog.
Then you go to layout in the blog admin menu, and you choose add a component. On the list that appears you choose google adsense. you can click any of the add a component on the page layout because after it is set, you can click and drag the component anywhere you want. Don't forget to click the save changes and you're set.

So now you have a website/blog running, adsense account up and ads on your site, now what...

First and most important, do not click on your ads and do not spam people around the internet or on your site to click the ads, if you do, you will get banned from adsense program.

Do not expect to make any money at start up. Why??...because people on the internet doesn't know that you exist. So for the next few weeks/months you will need to advertise your website/blog. What it means?...it means that your website alone does not really exist on the internet by itself, it needs support from other website that say...'Hey! this website at that address exist..', that's what is called a vote towards your site. the more votes you get, the more people know that you exist and more people to your website.
So in other words you need other website to link to your website, forget about submitting your website to search engines, that was done ages ago, now the bots (tiny programs to locate and index websites) will find you if you get other websites linking to you. So spend your time on getting links from everywhere over the internet.

-Blogs
-trading links with another webmaster like you

If you say, ok this week, let's e-mail webmasters to trade links...first:
-make sure that the website you want to trade links with is related to your website, that's a big vote, if it's not related, it's a weak vote and most of the time not even considered by the search engines.
-start by adding on your website the other webmaster's website title, description and link on your website before you e-mail him, it is more attractive for a webmaster this way, if not the webmaster will reply to you not knowing when you will reply back and finally link each other and chances are your e-mail will end up in the trashcan.
